Think your chili has what it takes to be the best? Enter the First Annual Boots & Backpacks Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 2K Ranch in Bunnell. Presented by Remembering Heroes, this exciting community competition welcomes chili makers of all skill levels for a day of friendly competition, great food, live entertainment, and giving back.
Contestants will compete for first, second, and third place prizes while earning bragging rights for serving one of the area's best chili recipes. Whether your recipe is mild, smoky, or packed with heat, all chili styles are welcome.
The Chili Cook-Off is part of the Boots & Backpacks community event, which also features country line dancing, live music, vendors, kids activities, and a school supply drive benefiting local students. Guests can enjoy delicious chili while helping provide backpacks and classroom supplies to children preparing for the new school year.
Contestants must register by August 5, 2026.
