Responsible for spreading dangerous diseases like West Nile virus, Zika, and dengue fever, mosquitoes pose a serious health risk. But the good news is, you can help protect yourself, your family, and your neighborhood with just a few simple actions.

**Why Mosquito Control Matters**

Mosquitoes can breed in the smallest amounts of standing water—just a quarter inch is enough for them to lay eggs. These *container mosquitoes* often thrive right in our backyards, especially in overlooked places like buckets, birdbaths, and tarps.

**Top Tips to Prevent Mosquito Breeding:**

- **Dump Standing Water Regularly**
     Check items like flowerpot saucers, pet bowls, and birdbaths. Refresh water at least every three days.
